Funds Shedding Investor Money

The Most Active Funds section of the site gives you access to a range of tools that identify which funds are Most Active.

Here you can view a list of funds shedding the most investors' money after stripping out the effects of market movements.

This tool focuses on current and historic fund size information and considers the percentage change in the fund size over a six month period.

For example if a fund decreases from £100m to £90m the increase would be considered to be £10m. However, if the markets have moved, decreasing the value of the fund by £5m (without any additional funds being invested), the actual growth would only be £5m.

This tool takes all of this information into account and comes up with a list of funds that have decreased the most in size, even after movements in the market have been factored in.

The results table includes the following information:

Fund Name:

Name of the Fund linking to a fund factsheet

Size c 6m ago:

Size of the fund 6 months ago

Size now:

Size of the fund with current data (at last fund factsheet)

Nominal % Change:
Percentage change in fund size from six months ago until now

% Chg after mkt movements:

Percentage change in the fund size after striping out the effects of market movements (default order)

Underlying apprx. in/out:

Amount of money in / out of the fund after stripping out the effects of markt movements to the nearest £1m.
